| The Kindred Folk |
| There are many today who practice and promote Odinism (also called Asatru), the pre-christian, indigenous, nature-based, tribal religion of the Indo-European/Northern European peoples. The Kindred Folk was formed as a direct response to the Folk Mother Else Christensen being put in prison. Since the Odinist Fellowship was partly an organization that dealt with prisoners, there needed to be an organization that could take that roll after the Folk Mother was incarcerated. The Kindred Folk did that, behind the prison walls. After her release, The Odinist Fellowship was reborn. And the Kindred Folk became an integral part of the Odinist Fellowship. --- 2004. The reins of the Kindred Folk were passed to Raven Hawksson by his father, Hawk Haroldsson. Grouping together with Ironwolf Stevensson, and Ansgar Carmensson. The Kindred Folk was reborn outside of the prison walls. Since the Kindred Folk is still an integral part of the Odinist Fellowship, The tribal name has grown to reflect that. 2006 - Without growth, we are doomed to stagnation. things that Stagnate eventually die and fade away. We have grown yet again. We are the Kindred Folk, We are the Droht, and we Are Osprey Bay!
2007 - A long year for the Kindred Folk. Things with Osprey Bay fell apart due in large part to the inability of it's Chieftain to lead. 2008 is here. Our future looks bright!

July 9, 2008 - We are moving along! Things are happening left and right! The community is back together again after a little over 2 years apart! And at the Sigr Faining that we hosted, we offered Andrea Marcarelli membership, and she accepted! March 1, 2008 - A change once again. We have moved away from being the Droht of Osprey Bay, we are back on our own again, The Kindred Folk . Ideas and plans are abounding, we shall see where the road takes us. January 3, 2008 - Again moved to a new host. Hope that this one works out a lot better. Florida Moot is right around the corner, and for those of you that have been watching the Osprey Bay site, you can see that it has changed. I am no longer organizing this years Moot. Perhaps in 2009. This years Moot will no doubt be a bit smaller then I had orginally planned, but then again, like I said, I am no longer organizing this years Moot. Keep an eye on the Outdoor Heathen page for upcoming outings! February/Horning 27, 2006 - The Annual Florida Moot is done. Great happenings! The Kindred Folk has taken it's place at the side of Osprey Bay Kindred and become the official Dryht of Osprey Bay. webpage has been changed to reflect the joining of these two great kindreds. May/Merrymoon 14, 2005 - On Wednesday May 4, 2005 The Folk Mother Else Christensen moved on to her next journey. Hail Else! Hope to see you someday!
